About Us
Information Technology (IT) is organized into four operating divisions. Each division is staffed with IT professionals possessing specialized knowledge and training in an area of Technology. Teamwork is key in delivering the hundreds of IT systems used by City Staff, so there are no organizational boundaries in providing customer service.
Developing new capabilities often occurs over a period of months and in some cases years of preparation. These one-time development projects have oversight provided by a Project Manager.
The City IT Department does not have a dedicated Project Management (PM) staff, instead the Division Managers and Director server as PM’s for dozens of projects every year.
Currently there are 42 one-time development projects slated for 2010.
